I love this little hot mitt for removing pans from the oven! When I purchased this item I was a bit skeptical. It seems too thin to properly insulate. I have found that it performs wonderfully for removing cookie trays, and baking pans from the oven. I really like the fact that I can pop it into the top rack of the dishwasher for cleaning. No more grungy cloth hot mitts. YEAH!!! I'm not sure how it will survive the inevitable accidental setting down on the stovetop burner. I'm NOT looking forward to that day.The grabber is not the best for holding hot pans for an extended period of time. I used it to hold a pan full of pizza (heated in a 425 degree oven). I picked up the pan, carried it to the dining room and attempted to serve our family of 5. By the time I got to the third serving I HAD to set the pan down because the heat of the pan was penetrating the silicone grabber.
Great for the kitchen but don't considering using it to hold a pan while serving.
