Issue #1: Stained with use of 1 washed carrot.
Issue #2: Waste waste waste! of my carrot, julianned, so laying sideways, 1/3 carrot left uncut, stuck in 1/2 inch gap between blade and holder. (I know to protect blade but this clearance could be way closer.
Issue #3: Food holder awkward and clumsy with just a small potato.
Issue #4: count tomatoes out. To apply enough pressure to get it moving, it actually skids to a stop, tomatoes do not slide on plastic. Also to try to push into blade, smashed tomato, did not cut it. Spike holders all the way in it too.
Issue #5: For KitchenAid (I have the mixer, pasta maker and coffee grinder) I expected sturdy, and STEEL. This is cheap plastic that stained on the first vegetable. and failed by the 4th, with a blade too dull to cut a tomato.
Issue #6: Poor instruction booklet. Minimal, pictures too small, and not directly aligned with steps so did not make sense.
Issue #7: $65.99 from Fred Meyer's for this? The quality was worth $20 tops, for most plastic and quick to dull blades.
Only pluses were it did potatoes well for hashbrowns, Onions ok too. But still wastes too much food.
Mine is already in the box ready to return, I bought it 5 hours ago, and when I got it to help speed prep time, I ended up manually finishing the rest with a small sharp paring knife.
Recommend skipping it unless you only prep breakfast veggies!
