Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of KitchenAid Silicone Spoon Spatula, RedCustomer Review: Great Price, Great Spatula Summary: 5 Stars
I fell in love will silicon products years ago. The one of the most fortunate things is that silicon items have continued to get less and less expensive over the years. First only available to the Le Cruset line, which was much inferior to the Kitcheaide line, and Le Cruset is a lot more expensive. What makes this so wonderful? Heat resistant to 500 degrees, so you can leave this in when making soups, stir frying, frying up meat, or just about anything you have on your stove top. Unlike metal it isn't going to get hot. This is a terrific product because it is entirely dishwaster safe. It doesn't come in pieces that let food particles get inside like some makers do. All in all I love this spatula from Kitchenaide. You can't beat the design, the function, and the price.
Description of KitchenAid Silicone Spoon Spatula, RedWith a nice long handle and a curved flexible head you'll be able to scrape and scoop batter or other ingredients from bowls and pots. Easy to clean, comfy to use, heat-resistant, and coordinated to match your red KitchenAid standmixer, now this is one heck of a spatula! This is one spatula you won't find melted up against the side of the stove. Heat resistant to 500 degrees F, it's crafted from a sturdy silicone that won't scratch or scrape nonstick cooking surfaces. The 3-1/2-by-2-1/2-inch blade has a surface that's curved like a spoon for easy scooping and spreading, and the tip is flexible to let you get at the last drop of batter in the bowl. (Whatever you do, don't tell the kids you'll be using it; they might just go on strike.) The KitchenAid logo even doubles as a rest, so you can place the spatula up against the rim of a bowl without it sliding into the goo. --Mary Park
