I bought this spoon after buying several of the KitchenAid utensils and having wonderful success with them. This one is also strong, heat resistant, and useful because of the long handle. It passed the test of taking a large artichoke out of a huge pot of boiling water without bending, losing the artichoke, or getting my arm burned by splashed boiling water. I can't wait to use it for boiling a whole cabbage for stuffed cabbage. I've avoided doing that for years.
