Finally, the ladle I was looking for! Why are good ones SO hard to find?
I've been a fan of KitchenAid for a long time, and already had all of the other large silicone utensils, but couldn't find this one in any stores. Nor could I find ANY well-balanced ladle with a long enough handle and a big enough bowl to be worth using in my big stock pots. I was so thrilled to find the KitchenAid ladle here, and am pleased to say that it meets all of my requirements.
I can also say from experience that the durability of these utensils is GREAT. The only issue I've had with any of them, after about 4 1/2 years, was that the grip handle on my big solid spoon snapped off due to a VERY hard drop recently. (Due to my habit of balancing my utensils on the handle of my pans, it had survived easily 100 drops prior to breaking. The hit that finally took it was thanks to my husband, dropping it on the way out of the dishwasher and pushing it hard away from him in an attempt at catching it.)
Very enthusiastically, 5 stars.
