Customer Review: Great basting spoon that doubles as a ladle

This KitchenAid basting spoon has a large enough capacity (4 oz.) to do double duty as a soup/stew ladle -- and that's exactly what it does in my kitchen. It's like having 2 tools in one. I needed a new ladle since my old one had a cracked handle and was wanting to get a new set of cobalt blue KitchenAid utensils anyway to match my KitchenAid mixer. I was a bit disappointed that there was no ladle included in this line of tools, but then realized that the basting spoon had as much capacity as my old ladle. I haven't regretted my purchasing decision -- the spoon is well balanced and wonderful to use with both my non-stick and enameled cast iron cookware and cleans up easily in the dishwasher.
