Customer Review: BEWARE!! Blender has one problem

So I bought this blender thinking this would be a top quality blender that would last for years to come. Well, to my surprise, I have had it a little over 2 yrs (use it maybe 1/mo.) and have had a major problem with it. The rotater (the part of the blender that turns the blade) has completely worn off!!! I was a bit surprised to see this happen, but when I touched the rotator, I realized it was made of a soft rubber. Not exactly sure why something that needs to be somewhat strong/dense as it needs to be able to turn when blender is full, and specially for a "Professional" series and very expensive blender would use a soft rubber for this. Well needless to say, when it wore off I assumed it was a defect. To my surprise, when I called Kitchenaid, they told me it wasn't and I needed to send to manufacture for replacement, cost unknown until they see it. So for the time being I would have to go back to my $29.99 plastic blender that I have had for over 4 years (and still working). This is ridiculous! A blender that expensive should not "wear down" after a couple of years, expecially a "Professional" version. So my advice, if you want a high quality stainless steel blender from a name you can trust, AVOID THIS ONE! I'm sure other's designs are not as poorly designed! Come on Kitchenaid, this blender is not cheap, why skimp on one of the most impt parts!
