I've had the blender for about a month. Very powerful, does a good job creating a vortex for complete blending. I'm concerned about the durability, because the gear-shaped coupling between the jar and the base does not seem to make a solid connection. Seems to be one gear shaped plastic piece fitting into a gear shaped plastic socket. Googling reveals this is indeed a problem with the blender. Of course, I wouldn't have known to check for this before I bought it.
