Well I always wondered about getting one of the pasta attachments for our Kitchenaid. After being warned off the extrusion style accessories, the fair dinkum pasta roller attachments looked appealing, but how hard to use was it really?

So with some good deals happening before Xmas we took the plunge and...we couldn't be happier. So easy, two cups of flour (ordinary unbleached) a couple of eggs and add H2O until the dough comes together - it starts thumping in the bowl. Then a handful of dough, squeezed and flattened and then its fun time on the rollers.
This pack comes with the required flat roller (lasagne, canneloni), the spaghetti cutter (medium spaghetti - yes it is round) and a fettucini cutter. This covers pretty much all our pasta needs so its a good fit.
The spaghetti - belissimo, the fettucini - deliciosa, the lasagne - unbelivafantasticarama!!
If you like pasta and have a Kitchenaid then do yourself a favour - get the KPRA pasta attachment. You know it makes sense!

If you consider yourself a foodie and enjoy fresh pasta then the Pasta Rollers will give you good reason to try out various pasta recipes. They are easy to use and fun for the home chef.
Clean-up is simple and quick. I've been using them for about one month with no issues.
The manual includes recipes for making both egg and semolina pasta as well as tips for storing and cooking.
I have made linguine and fettucine will great success. Next to try lasagne and ravioli sheets.
I don't have children but I could see making fresh pasta as a fun, family affair with suitable-aged/adept kids helping out in the kitchen.

I have had the old hand crank pasta maker, and used it infrequently. This one MUCH more fun and easy to use. Cleanup is not a big deal. Only reason I did not give it 5* is the price, but with the recent rebate, the sting is not so bad. The pasta is much better than any store bought we have ever had. Texture is just different - more "chewy" is the only way I know to describe it. Be aware, you might make a mess, but fun to use. Customer Review: kitchenaid KPRA

This kitchenaid attachment set works very well . It was my first time making pasta ( I had an experienced friend as an observer ) . It was easy to use and clean . I made several batches of different types of pasta ( tomatoe , olive ect. ) with no problems first time through . I highly recomend this product . PTF
