The mixer works great. It has been a wonderful asset in making bread batches and other dough. The soft start feature is great. The only thing we haven't gotten used to yet is that the speed control doesn't slide back and forth freely like it did on our old KitchenAid. I'm sure once we get used to it it will be better as there is less chance for an inadvertant change in the mixer's speed.
