Excellent value and robust design.
Pros:
- Wide base offers a stable shredding experience unlike the narrower models that tend to tip over while you're grating.
- rubber rimmed base adds to the stability by preventing sliding on smooth surfaces.
- incredibly sharp, be cautious with your fingers. I am using and recommend a cutting glove to prevent injury. Using these devices requires violent actions that can easily cause you to loose control.
- The integrated measuring cup catches the grating nicely and helps with grating the measured amount and no more. Reduces counter cleanup as well. It is designed so it lager but of the cup can be flipped and tucked in the grater for space saving storage.
Cons:
- Measuring cup narrows the base of the unit while using during grating. This raises the center of gravity of the grater reducing its stability. This negates the benefit of a wide base grater. Also the cup is plastic, so the benefits of the rubber rimmed base of grater is also lost. Use of the cup while grating is great for lesser mess and measure grating, but at the price of safety.
