But what about the product itself??? Pleased as punch here. The Kitchenaid KA670 does everything it was supposed to do and more. The multiple bowls and blades are really convenient and invite experimentation. I have made so many recipes simply because I've got a machine that will do the work for me...if you build it, they will come. Seriously, I've attempted many recipes that I just would not have gone near because the prep time and clean up would have been daunting. Now, I look forward to the prep because the machine is fun to use--it may be a guy thing with a certain attraction for power machines and blades but I even get a kick out of the juicer which was an added bonus (with two juicer cones included--I recently discovered the smaller cone which is snapped inside the larger one--a nice surprise). Clean up is easy and I like having the storage container for the blades. At first, I laughed at the tiny spatula they include with the set and thought it looked and felt cheap, but I've gotten used to it and use it ocassionally...I still wonder why it was included since the rest of the items and the product itself is well made and give my kitchen a more professional look--the spatula is, well, silly.

All in all, I recommend the KA670 without reservation and am so glad I chose it. If you are looking for a professional food processor that will last, look no further and buy this one. I've used mine for two months now and am still smiling--mincing garlic, shredding vegetables, juicing lemons, slicing potatoes uniformly, etc., etc.--it's a great machine!

Operating the processor is a thrill--like driving a luxury car. It weighs 10-1/2 pounds and measures 14-1/2 inches high, 8-3/4 inches wide, and 10-1/2 inches deep. There are no seams to trap food, making cleanup a simple matter of wiping the base and placing all parts in the dishwasher.

Included with this model is a citrus press for quickly extracting juice; a whip for egg whites and cream; a dough blade; a thin (2 millimeters), reversible disc for slicing and shredding; and medium (4 millimeters) shredding and slicing discs. All store in a transparent plastic case (10-1/2 by 7-1/2 by 7 inches). The instruction booklet is exceptionally easy to follow and includes dozens of recipes. Should the processor fail during its first year, KitchenAid's total replacement warranty guarantees delivery of another machine. Other than that unlikely eventuality, no cook would part with this processor. --Fred Brack
