Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of KitchenAid KFP350 5-Cup Little Ultra Power Food Processor, Empire GreenCustomer Review: Small is beautiful Summary: 5 Stars
After struggling for years with another brand food processor, I decided to try the KFP350 5-Cup (Cobalt Blue). It is fantasttic! Not only is the motor strong, and fast, it's unbelievably quiet. The smaller bowl is excellent for mincing garlic and the larger bowl is more than adequate for most jobs. In addition, this processor is unbelievably easy to clean. Although I have no complaints about the size (it's so efficient that jobs are done quickly), having now "tasted" KitchenAid technology, I lust after a larger model, though given the efficiency of the this food processor it would be hard to justify... BTW, the color is gorgeous.
Description of KitchenAid KFP350 5-Cup Little Ultra Power Food Processor, Empire GreenEquipped with 5-cup and 2-cup work bowls, this compact food processor is ideal for small households or for small jobs when a large unit isn't necessary. Each bowl has its own blade, and the smaller bowl is perfect for mincing herbs, chopping onions and tomatoes, and making bread crumbs. Also included is a reversible, stainless-steel disk with one side for shredding such foods as cheese and potatoes and the other for slicing carrots and cabbage. At 450 watts the unit is amply powered for the size of the work bowls. A large, uncomplicated feed tube simplifies adding ingredients. Cleanup is simple, too, requiring nothing more than a quick wipe of the power base and its touchpad controls, and all other parts are dishwasher-safe. The processor measures just 6-3/8 inches wide, 13-3/4 inches high, and 7-1/2 inches deep and weighs 10 pounds so it won't skitter on the counter during operation. KitchenAid says the first year of the processor's lifetime warranty against defects is "hassle-free," with a replacement shipped at no cost and without question if a defect is detected. --Fred Brack
