Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of KitchenAid KFP350 5-Cup Little Ultra Power Food Processor, Cobalt BlueCustomer Review: Great Lttle Machine Summary: 5 Stars
It's hard to come up with something new to say about this little wonder. I've only had mine for a couple of months, but I've owned other models through the years, and this was an INSTANT WINNER!! There is a parmesan/ice disc available for purchase for this, but that's it, and I've now decided to upgrade to the 11-cup model. The 5-cup model will stay on my counter for all the everyday jobs though, it is SOO convenient and easy to clean. I really recommend both, as this one takes up so much less room, but while it's great for most jobs, it doesn't have the versatility of the larger models! Oh, and the Cobalt blue is indeed a beautiful addition to the countertop.
Description of KitchenAid KFP350 5-Cup Little Ultra Power Food Processor, Cobalt BlueThis powerful little unit is just the right size for smaller households and kitchens with limited counter or storage space. For purEeing soup, chopping and shredding vegetables and a host of other prep jobs, you will find this appliance is worth its weight in gold. Equipped with 5-cup and 2-cup work bowls, this compact food processor is ideal for small households or for small jobs when a large unit isn't necessary. Each bowl has its own blade, and the smaller bowl is perfect for mincing herbs, chopping onions and tomatoes, and making bread crumbs. Also included is a reversible, stainless-steel disk with one side for shredding such foods as cheese and potatoes and the other for slicing carrots and cabbage. At 450 watts the unit is amply powered for the size of the work bowls. A large, uncomplicated feed tube simplifies adding ingredients. Cleanup is simple, too, requiring nothing more than a quick wipe of the power base and its touchpad controls, and all other parts are dishwasher-safe. The processor measures just 6-3/8 inches wide, 13-3/4 inches high, and 7-1/2 inches deep and weighs 10 pounds so it won't skitter on the counter during operation. KitchenAid says the first year of the processor's lifetime warranty against defects is "hassle-free," with a replacement shipped at no cost and without question if a defect is detected. --Fred Brack
