Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of KitchenAid Garlic Press, RedCustomer Review: Couldn't ask for more!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought a cheaper ... garlic press (no brand name) at a local discount store. And as far as garlic presses go, you GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. It was a piece of JUNK! All the garlic was going up the side, not through the holes... it was a BIG mess! So I decided to pay a little more for a nice brand. And let me tell you, this garlic press works WONDERFULLY. Garlic doesn't squish out the sides. All of the garlic comes out of the holes easily with ONE press. And this garlic press is VERY nice and heavy. Not heavy enough to be bad, just very sturdy and well-made. The cleaner is very nice to clean garlic out of the holes, and it can store with the press like the picture shows. If you are wondering if you should buy this, DO IT!! I absoultely love it, and it was worth every penny. I just wish I didn't waste my money on the other one in the first place!
Description of KitchenAid Garlic Press, RedOversized and extremely strudy, this garlic press is fully capable of squeezing the life out of garlic cloves or shallots. The little brush does a nice job of clearing away undesirable solids left behind. And when you're all done with it, run this gadget through a dishwasher cycle for thorough cleaning. Make quick work of chopping garlic cloves with KitchenAid's garlic press--you'll wonder why you ever bothered with those jars of prechopped garlic. Simply insert a clove or two into the well, flip the handles together, and press down firmly--out through the holes comes your freshly chopped garlic. Cleanup's a breeze since nothing sticks to the polished stainless steel, and the handy brush quickly pushes out any garlic still stuck in the holes. You won't want to lose this little brush, so for storage, simply clip the brush to the press mechanism and fold the press closed. --Maile Rehbock
