It seems difficult to figure out which Kitchenaid beaters will fir what mixers. I can tell you that this beater fits my Artisan.
My Artisan came with the coated beater, but after about five years, the coating started to flake off. I have to wonder what I ate with plastic in it before I realized that the coating was flaking.
Not wanting to replace another coated beater in another five years, and worry about the plastic getting into the food, and not seeing much benefit to the coating, I order this metal, burnished beater as the replacement. I'm glad I did. Now that I've used it for a while, I still do not see any benefit to the coating of the original, and am glad that I purchased this one instead.
Other than that, it works like it should.
