The holes in the block do not quite fit the knives, one is a little too small.

KitchenAid Cook's Series 5-Piece Stainless Steel Prep Set in a Traditional Block. Set includes: 5" Chef, 5 1/2" Utility, 4 1/2" Santoku, 3 1/2" Parer in a traditional block. This is a perfect "second" cutlery block set to have in your kitchen - versatile and useful for everyday.KitchenAid's Cook's Series is a relatively inexpensive line that is more than adequate for the home chef. This five-piece set inspires a novice cook to hone his or her knife skills with manageable sizes. The composite Dupont Delrin knife handles, which come in black or red, are fully contoured for comfort and a secure grip; a handle made completely of stainless steel handle is also available. The blades are made from high-carbon stainless-steel, hand-ground to a razor-sharp edge, while the backs are rounded to increase comfort when pressure is put on from above. A brushed stainless-steel end cap adds to the elegance and balance of the full-tang knives.
Included in the set are four knives: 3-1/2-inch paring, for peeling and cutting fruit and vegetables; 4-1/2-inch santoku, a must-have for thinly sliced meats and vegetables; 5-inch chef's, that everyday workhorse; and 5-1/2-inch utility for everything from cutting sandwiches to slicing roast chicken. Nicely compact and moveable, the hardwood storage block in a natural finish takes up little counter space. For best care, the cutlery should be washed by hand.
