This is a great mixer, but it has it's limits. With a motor rating of 325 watts it will do a great job on any type of mixing, but will find itself struggling on stiff bread dough and many grinding chores. I have been in the restaurant business for many years and have seen these used for hours a day without any problem at all, if used properly. Kitchen Aid currently makes mixers with ratings of 325watts, 450watts, 575watts, and 650watts. Amazon does not sell all of them however, and to make matters more difficult, Amazon seems to use a mixture of verbage from all of the models to describe each unit. In other words, you're told that the 325 watt mixer makes a double batch of bread, when that ability is suggested on KA's site only for the larger units. Check out KA's site and then search Amazon for their part number, then get the right mixer for you.Customer Review: JUST AS GOOD AS NEW

simply awesome. its better than the top of the line, which I have too. this was the mixer buy of a lifetime because of the free shipping,( everyone else wanted 70.00 shopping. if you can wait 10 days for free shipping and add something else small to get your order over 100.00 (it was 99.00 when I bought it anything over 100.00 was free shipping), there isnt a better mixer deal out there.
its big sturdy and works just as well as a new one. no scratches. no imperfections . get more than one as a gift. now Im coffee maker shopping. any suggestions? :)
