I bought the machine and it arrived with coffee stains and didn't heat. Kitchen Aid was very friendly and offered a replacement in 2 weeks. I declined, went onto Amazon, returned it to the merchant and had a new one in 3 days.
The machine is simply great. The folks at Kitchen Aid thought it through carefully in every detail. It makes delicious espresso and latte drinks and it's easy to use and clean. There isn't a thing about this machine that isn't quality. The other reviewer was right: the drip tray needs to be tipped to be removed so I don't let it fill. Otherwise, just go for it. At this price you vastly exceed the quality of other machines in the price range.
