I decided to do something for me this year...slow down and get back to basics. I find baking to be quite relaxing and therapeutic. I saved a lot of money buying a refurbished model and LOVE the 400! It's heavier and thicker than the newer Artisan series. The words KITCHENAID are in silver relief instead of printed in black ink as on the newer models, and the Olive color is fierce- more of a 70's feel! I prefer the tilt back head on my mean,green machine over the pull up/lever style. I have "bonded" with this mixer and recently sent back a new one I had rec'd as a gift.
